Updates, past and future

It's been a while now since last blog. I've been very busy with different projects, so I haven't really had the time to write here for a while, so now I thought I'd update a bit on what's going on and what I've been doing.

The last month I've been busy with a musical with the group Bærum Musikk- og Danseteater (short Bærmuda), doing the musical Ungen, based on the novel by Norwegian Oscar Braathen. We did seven performances in the period 11-18th of february. Loads of people came out to see it, reviews where great and we had tons of fun! Possibly the best weeks of my life! Other than that, we've pretty much finished up the demo with Megative (look for a piece of video blog in the next blog entry), songwriting for Vintervila's next record is on its way and Bjabbes one mand band is being recorded in my studio.

I've also been asked to write a piece of film music for a couple of my friends short film, which I'm looking forward to getting started on it.

New tattoo

Yesterday I hung out with my friends at Art & Soul Tattoo to get another piece of art on my arm, and at the same time finish my last piece which was started in December.

Being a proud Echelon and having loved the band 30 Seconds To Mars for many years now, it was an easy choice of motive. I already have one piece of band art from them, and added another now. The work was done by Kaia Hansvold and looks awesome!

Here is a pic of the new piece, which of course ended with a beer at Ryes. How could we not end up at one of the most awesome bars in Oslo after a long tattoo session??

And I hate how it is impossible to take a good pic of an arm since it's not straight from nature, so top and bottom looks twisted, but it's not!

Second day in studio with Megative

We made a mistake when recording the drums for Skylark, so we had to do the cymbals again, ´cause they never made it to the hard drive. Our drummer, Jonas, looked really awesome when he recorded this, as he didn´t have much to do most of the time. Check it out:

First studio session with Megative

I´m currently sitting in the controlroom in the studio with Megative right now. We just started this session and are working our asses of to get the sound right. Drums are hell to record. We´re doing a 30 hour session so we should get it right in the end:)

This is my first session with this band so I´m curious to see how we work together after serious lack of sleep, but I´m sure it will turn out just fine.

We´re doing a 5 track demo to get gigs and find a record label and management to support us, and I´m really looking forward to see where this might end up in the next 6 months to 1 year. It´s going to be very exiting. You should all watch out for this band, as they are very talented and I´m really humbled and flattered that I get to be a part of this project!

Also, the next couple of weeks a bunch of exiting projects are being worked on and completed! I´m currently booking a small tour with Vintervila, I´m writing some film music and Total Astral Recall stepping it up to the next level! So stay tuned!!!
